Royal Caribbean International provide dream holidays and cruises in a variety of exotic locations. They required an app to allow their diners to browse and easily select wine and tapas from a menu, and then have a waiter bring it over to their table.
The Solution
We worked in partnership with two other agencies to develop an iPhone app to be used upon the $1.5 billion cruise ship: Allure of the Seas. The app allowed customers to browse and select from items on a menu and have their waiter bring it over to them. The app suggested recommendations and users could view their order in full before ordering. The app featured a local database, multilingual chat and a magnetic strip reader.
The Result
The result was a useful, easy-to-navigate app that integrated fully with the ship's folio system and POS.
